Agassiz Water Services wants to make sure that when you have a fire you are confident that you have the tools to “fight the fire”.

If you have a privately owned fire hydrant in a large municipality or if you are part of a small community that doesn’t have a public works division, your hydrants may not be getting the maintenance they need.

Not all cities flush AND inspect Private Fire Hydrants annually.  And many only do so if  there is a problem.  Most rural water systems don’t have the funds available to hire full time employees for hydrant maintenance.

At Agassiz Water Services we understand that tough economic times mean tight budgets in  areas of preventative maintenance, but we are here to help!  We are offering an affordable alternative to replacing hydrants.  Give yourself the peace of mind of a working fire hydrant.

Text Box: Will Your Hydrant be Working When You Need It?

“Once the fire has started, it is too late to find out the hydrant doesn’t work..”

Text Box: 95% OF HYDRANTS CAN BE REPAIRED AT A THIRD OF THE COST OF REPLACEMENT
Text Box: PRODUCT ALERT
American Flow Company states that ALL American-Darling and American-Valve Hydrants dated 1999-2003 and all Waterous Trend and Pacer models dated 1999-2004 MUST have the rod and grease replaced. The original grease has a corrosive element causing hydrants to become “impossible to operate”.
American Flow Company recommends making the replacement as part of your ANNUAL INSPECTION. They will supply the parts and a $40 credit toward labor!

Agassiz Water Services will replace the part for FREE with a two-year inspection contract!
Our annual Inspection and Flushing Service ranges from $100-200 per hydrant depending on the number of hydrants and the length of the contract.
Without a contract, AWS will replace the rod and grease in defective hydrants for $220 after the $40 Labor Allowance from American Flow Control.
Text Box: The Nation Fire Prevention Association states that hydrants and gate valves MUST be inspected at least annually.
Text Box: Are Your Hydrants too low?

We can raise most hydrants.  With a  quick inspection of your water system, we can tell you whether or not your hydrants can be raised.

Text Box: Leaking or Seemingly in-operable Hydrants can usually be made operable...

Replacing, cleaning, and lubricating the necessary parts in most hydrants will keep your hydrants working like new.

Text Box: Even New Systems need Annual Preventative Maintenance.

Many Gate Valves that are in-operable or difficult to work can also be “exercised” back into working order.

When it comes to fire prevention there are many options out there for funding.  There are both grants and low-interest loans that involve many different government agencies and associations.  Agassiz Water Services will help you determine if there is a program out there to help your town.  Give us a call at 701-730-6370.
